# How to Add or Remove Songs in a Control Playlist

## Add songs directly to a Control playlist, import music from Spotify, or remove tracks you no longer want to hear.

If you use **Control**, you can add or remove individual songs directly inside a playlist.

### Add a song

1. Click **Playlists** in the left menu.
2. Open the Control playlist you want to edit.
3. Click the **+** icon in the top-right of the playlist section.
4. Choose **Song Search** or import music from **Spotify**.
5. If you use Song Search, type at least 2 characters. You can also use the **New**, **Popular**, **Holiday**, and **Random** filters to browse.
6. Choose the songs you want to add.

### Remove a song

1. Open the playlist.
2. Find the song you want to remove.
3. Click the **trash icon** on the right side of the song.

**Need to narrow the list?** Use the **All Songs** dropdown to view **Style Songs**, **Added Songs**, or **Removed Songs**.

Changes to a playlist apply anywhere that playlist is being used.
