# How to Create a Playlist

## Create a custom Control playlist using Manual Search, Choose Your Style, AI Recommended, or Spotify.

If you use **Control**, you can create custom playlists directly in the Custom Channels App.

### Create a new playlist

1. Click **Playlists** in the left navigation.
2. Click **New Playlist**.
3. Choose how you want to build it.

### Choose a creation method

- **Manual Search:** Search the catalog and build your playlist song by song. You can also import from Spotify to get started faster.
- **Choose Your Style:** Choose 1 to 4 music styles, then blend them using percentages to create the sound you want.
- **AI Recommended:** Start with playlist recommendations based on your onboarding preferences and business type. If this option is locked, complete onboarding first.

Follow the prompts for the method you choose to finish building your playlist.

If you use **Core**, you can browse ready-to-play Core Playlists instead of building a custom playlist.
